Common questions

How do I take a strip?

Pick a booth, then press the big button. After the 3-2-1 countdown the booth takes four shots, with a short pause between them so you can change your pose. The strip then slides out of the slot and develops.

Can I start without touching the phone?

Yes. On the booth's exposure meter you can turn on starting with a smile, or with your voice when you say “Cheese!”. Voice recognition runs on your iPhone and nothing is recorded.

How do I change the paper, the look or the format?

Use the control panel under the viewfinder: the format buttons switch between strip, square, postcard and instant prints, the roll changes the look, and the paper shelf picks the paper. You can also change the paper of a strip later, from your gallery.

How do I add stickers or draw on a strip?

Open the strip and tap the pen. You can draw with your finger, add stickers, emoji or handwritten text. They sit on their own layer, so the photos underneath stay untouched.

How does two-phone mode work?

On the first iPhone open two-phone mode and show the QR code; scan it with the second iPhone, which also needs Smilerti. The second phone becomes an extra camera angle and its shots land on the same strip, in pairs or alternating. Both phones need Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on and must allow Local Network access. Photos go only between the two phones, encrypted.

What is the booth of the day?

Every day one booth stands first in the aisle, under the spotlight. If it is a premium booth, you can use it for free all day.

How do I add the widgets?

Touch and hold the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit, then add a widget and choose Smilerti. The large widget shows your latest strips and the booth of the day.

I bought Premium. How do I restore it on a new iPhone?

Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Settings in Smilerti and tap Restore Purchases. Subscriptions are managed in the iPhone Settings app, under your name, then Subscriptions.

Where are my strips stored? How do I delete them?

Only on your iPhone, and in your Photos library if you saved them there. Delete strips from the gallery, or delete the app to remove everything. See the privacy policy for details.

Which languages are supported?
